TROY A. LANIER
During the past fifteen years, Troy A. Lanier has maintained an active civil litigation and trial practice in both the state and federal courts of Georgia.
He handles a wide variety of civil litigation matters, focusing primarily on business disputes, civil rights issues, and personal injury. His practice also includes premises liability cases, construction litigation, and insurance matters. He regularly represents both individuals and corporate or governmental entities. His practice is evenly divided between cases filed in the state and federal courts of Georgia.
He has conducted jury trials involving a wide variety of issues, including personal injury, premises liability, construction/contractor liability, breach of contract, fraud, employment discrimination and other civil tort claims.
Mr. Lanier earned his A.B. in 1988 from the University of Georgia and his J.D. in 1992 from the University of Georgia School of Law.
He is an active member in both the State Bar of Georgia and the Augusta Bar Association. He is past president of the Young Lawyer's Club of Augusta.
He is a member of Trinity-on-the-Hill United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Shannon Gentry Lanier, have one son.
